FAQ• When should I contact an Admin?Admin are tagged @Overfiend and should be contacted in regards to issues with the settings or permissions of the chat. Bots or spam floods. If someone is contacting you in private. Issues that need to be discussed in private.• When should I contact a Moderator?Moderators are tagged @MODacore and should be contacted in regards to discussions or art posts that break rules.• I'm not sure where I should post this thing I want to share or discuss?Use your best judgement, and if you really can't pick an area, feel free to ask in the General Chat.

Mod Jobs•Follow and enforce the rules.
Incidents are to be handled on a case-by-case basis; use your best judgement as whether the transgression was an honest mistake or intentionally disruptive. Generally a warning can be given for a first offense unless it's blatant trolling, in which case a ban is appropriate. Users who repeatedly make mistakes, honest or otherwise, may need to be specifically addressed. Again, use your best judgement as mods as to the severity of the incident; if you're unsure, feel free to ask other mods for input.
•Peer Mediation
If two or more users are having a conversation that gets heated or becomes an argument, intervene and request they take it to DMs. If they refuse, further action (read: a timeout initially, and a ban if it continues after that) can be taken as necessary.
•Moderating Tags/Spoilers
If content falls into a category that should be tagged and spoilered and a user does not tag/spoil appropriately, the offending content should be removed and the poster should be asked to repost it correctly. If they refuse and/or intentionally repost the image immediately without tagging/spoilering, a timeout would be appropriate with a ban being considered for future offenses.
•Availability
All staff and mods are volunteers and have jobs/lives outside of the server, but we ask that mods turn on notifications for their mod roles and try to keep an eye on things. If you are going to be unavailable for a week or more, please give a heads up in the mod channel.
•Voting
From time to time, mods will be asked to vote on site-related matters; most of the time this will be related to Artist Hubs and content tags. In both cases, you'll be asked to vote either yes or no (or abstain) on the topic at hand and provide a short explanation or blurb of your thoughts/reasons for your vote.
For content tags, this will be a simple matter of whether a category should be tagged/spoilered; basically, this is a question of "should this type of content have a content warning".For Artist Hubs, the process is slightly more involved. Applications for Artist Hubs will be opened in rounds; these rounds will be scheduled ahead of time to line up with everybody's availability to review applications.
A round will open for a week at a time, with data to be compiled after the round closes and posted here for review.
Mods will have roughly 5 days to review the applications and vote yes or no (or abstain) on each application. At the end of the voting period, votes will be tallied and applicants will be approved (or not) for a Hub accordingly. If a mod disagrees with the outcome, it can be discussed here.
